  themselves as the marketing through video is one
  of the most popular way in todays world. There
  are many things that you have to take care of
  while preparing your video. Here are the tips
  that you should follow.

• Storyboard
• Once you have done the planning and the briefing
  and also have written the script, now its time
  to spend some time with the artist designers to
  create the visuals according to your script.
• Storyboard is the important thing for you and
  your team but at the same time it is much
  important for the artists, actors and other crew
  members to get the idea of the visuals that they
  have to recreate while shooting.
• Prepare your subjects and presenters
• You have to make sure that your presenters are
  aware of the objective or outcome of the video or
  what you are expecting from them. You can reduce
  or minimize the mistakes while shooting and also
  it will save your time.
• Presenters should avoid memorizing the script
  they should understand the script and the outline
  of the project and what you are expecting from
  them, in such a way they will deliver their best
  performance.

• What B-Roll footage you need
• B-Roll is any such footage that is not a part of
  your primary footage but it is shot at any other
  location outside apart from your primary footage.
• You should know what B-Roll footage you will need
  at the end. Whatever B-Roll footage you will need
  figure it out during the pre-production phase to
  avoid such situation where you will need B-Roll
  but you dont have.
• You should not only focus on doing another shoot
  at different location, you can also use stock
  B-Roll footage according to your requirement.

• Keep proper light as per your need
• Lighting is very important in a commercial video
  production. You should avoid conflict between
  natural light artificial light. There are
  different types of light and each one of them has
  different temperature.
• Example, if you are shooting at an inside
  location with artificial lights and from any
  window or opening daylight comes into the room
  and that mixes up with your artificial light,
  that situation will be a headache for you.
• When you shoot at an indoor location, avoid rooms
  that has windows or the setup is in such a way
  that if daylight comes in that does not impact
  your shoot.

• Check acoustics of your location
• Before you start shooting, check the acoustics of
  your filming location. There should be no echo at
  all inside the shooting room. Do not be in the
  impression that you will fix that during the post
  production, you can fix many other audio settings
  but an echo can ruin your whole video.
• Take multiple shoots
• Always take multiple shoots, dont rely on the
  one take shoot. Even if you think that the take
  has been very nice still try to do at least one
  more take to avoid problems during the
  post-production.
• Example, if you have done one take and at the
  time of post-production you find something wrong
  in it, then it will become headache for you, to
  avoid such situation always try to do more than
  one take.

• Clean up your clips before starting rough cuts
• When you import your footage into editing
  software, always clean your clips as soon as you
  import them. It will reduce the length of the
  video by trimming unnecessary paused and giggles.
• Editing the final sequence together using trimmed
  clips is a lot easier than adjusting each
  individual clip on the fly.
• Avoid doing too much transition effects
• Try to avoid using too much transition or effects
  that comes with your editing software. If you are
  making a party or dance video then it is fine but
  if it is a commercial or professional video then
  try to avoid using too much effects as it will a
  casual approach.
• Your content should be strong enough that you
  should not need any editing software tool to drag
  the viewers attention.
