Sterilization

• It's important to sterilise all your baby's
  feeding equipment, including bottles and teats,
  until they are at least 12 months old.
• Use of non sterilized bottles can cause the baby
  to vomit or have diarrhoea.
• Sterilizing will ensure that the remaining
  bacteria are also eliminated.
• It is advised till the baby turns one year old
• It is compulsory to sterilize the feeding bottles
  and other feeding equipments before their first
  use
• After the baby turns six months old, only feeding
  equipment and breast pumps need to be sterilized
  till your baby turns one year old.

Before Sterilization

• Clean bottles, teats and other feeding equipment
  in hot, soapy water as soon as possible after
  feeds.
• Use a clean bottle brush to clean bottles and a
  small teat brush to clean the inside of teats.
  You can also turn teats inside out then wash them
  in hot soapy water.
• Make sure bottles, lids and teats are cleaned
  properly using soapy water.
• Do not use salt to clean teats, as this can be
  dangerous for your baby.
• Rinse all your equipment in clean, cold running
  water before sterilising.

How often do feeding bottles need to be
sterilized?

• Feeding equipment does not need to be sterilized
  for more than once a day.
• It is recommended to sterilize more often during
  the day, if the baby has been sick or if you or
  other family members have been dealing with a
  contagious illness.
• If your baby was premature or has health issues,
  it may be good to sterilise their feeding
  equipment after every use till they turn three
  months of age.

be sterilized?

• Feeding bottles, nipples, breast pumps needs to
  be sterilized.
• Pacifiers are another thing that babies have in
  their mouths on a daily basis and they are
  required to be sterilized.
• If the baby is introduced to solid foods before 6
  months of age, the bowls and spoons need to be
  sterilized.
• After the baby turns six months old, only feeding

  till your baby turns one year old.
