Title: Students facing troubles while making decisions
1Students facing troubles while making decisions
2From an IB student to another IB student, some of
the most terrifying yet rewarding moments include
choosing my subjects in Grade 11, selecting a
topic to write my Extended Essay on and finally,
filling out the various university applications.
While I understand that making decisions that a
student may believe is the foundation of their
careers and their life can be nerve-racking, it
is important to acknowledge that one will always
find the help necessary to make these decisions.
3Every situation can be dealt with differently,
for example, when choosing the subjects for IBDP,
it is always a good idea to firstly, follow your
interests and passion and secondly, to glance
through the syllabus of different subjects. When
a student learns about the difference in say,
English Language and Literature, and English
Literature, then proceed by comparing the two or
more distinct levels. This is one way to go
forward. The other might include asking your
seniors for tips on different subjects, their
Internal Assessments, the grading system and the
teaching styles of different teachers. All of
these steps may help you make a more informed
decision.

5Furthermore, when it comes to selecting topics
for Internal Assessments or the Extended Essay, I
personally believe speaking to other individuals
(seniors) who have already worked under the same
teacher and chosen the same subject about their
experience. This will help you, the student, to
know what you are diving into. Moreover, another
way to go about is to read the works of other IB
students spread across the globe. One can do that
simply through IB websites, or samples on the
internet.
6Lastly, when choosing a university, several
factors are needed to be accounted for, such as
financial status, the job prospectus, facilities
provided, the faculty of the department,
accommodation and much more. However, in most
cases, students do have a Dream college and the
aim should be to work towards it. Regardless, if
a student does need help, you always have your
parents, career counselors, college ambassadors
and if nothing else, Google!

8The teenage is a growing year and this is the
time when the brain molding takes place. You
either destroy the brain or built it. This is
where IB helps your kid. It shapes the mind by
providing knowledge from all over the world. If
you are too finding the Educational Resources for
International Schools, why not take a demo class
with Eduception? The online platform provides the
best International Baccalaureate Resources.
