Process of raising 100 Mn for Vedantu

• According to the startup funding news, this year
  has experienced a hike in funding for Edtech
  Startups across the country as a top item.
  Vedantu, an Indian Interactive Online tutoring
  platform, has been in talks of raising funds for
  100 Mn with KKR and Tiger Global, and GGV
  Capital. However, the discussion ais at its early
  stages, and no timesheet has been given.
  Nonetheless, it seems to be a piece of
  progressive news confirmed by two known men.
• Not to forget the news where Vedantu successfully
  closed a 100 million round led by Coatue
  Management just a few months ago. Fintrackr
  estimates show that the company claims a 600
  million valuation in the Series D round with a
  little secondary component.At present, the
  company is valued at 510 million. It can soon
  progress to be valued in the range of 850-900
  million claimed by one of the sources on
  anonymity. If the transaction goes through, this
  would be a 3X jump in the companys valuation in
  just seven months.

• While A Tiger Global spokesperson will comment
  when there is an update, Vedantu and its existing
  investors have refused to comment. There is no
  confirmation from any end, but there are talks
  around the corner that are enough to ignite some
  spark, as stated by Startup News India.
•  Vedantus core offering covers online classes
  covering grades 6 to 12. With that being said,
  Vedantu has also raised 7 million in an extended
  Series C round from KB Global at a valuation of
  280 million. It also offers students with study
  materials from grade 1 to 12 and JEE entrance
  examinations. In an interview with TechCrunch in
  July, CEO Vamsi Krishna said Vedantu serves 25
  million students each month. According to Startup
  funding News, The startup has added 2 million
  students during the lockdown earlier this
  year.Vedantu even has its ventures in Kids
  Coding Space started in May this year and have
  been compulsively marketing for most platforms,
  says Startup funding News. The kids coding
  vertical has been one of the anchors in all tech
  platforms fundraising. Byjus alone cornered
  over 1 billion in 2020 while Unacademy entered
  into the coveted unicorn club with a recent round
  from SoftBank. Toppr, Doubtnut, ClassPlus, Lido
  Learning, Uable, Camp K12, Testbook, Flinto, and
  others have also risen substantial funding in the
  past ten months.
