Title: How To Detect Hot Cold Perception In Foot Using KODYS ELITE HCP

1
How to detect Hot Cold Perception in Foot using
KODYS ELITE HCP
2
What is Diabetic Polyneuropathy?
  • Diabetic Polyneuropathy is a disease that affects
peripheral nerves. Due to this damage to the
nerve fibres, an individuals ability to sense
thermal (hot), cold, and pain diminishes.

3
Sensitometer HCP
  • A Sensitometer HCP (Hot, Cold, Pain) is used to
detect diabetic polyneuropathy. This detection is
performed by observing any change in the level of
tolerance to heat and cold perception in the
    patients foot.

KODYS ELITE HCP
  • KODYS ELITE HCP is a simple and highly new
    generation (HCP) Digital Neuropathy Analyzer.
  • It is one of the most reliable diabetic foot care
products used to measure the thermal perception
    thresholds in diabetic neuropathy.
  • With an elegant design and stable performance,
the device provides the following pictorial and
    graphical reports
  • Foot Heat and Cool Perception Report
  • Foot Hot Pain and Cold Pain Perception ReporT
  • Hand Heat and Cool Sensory ReporT
  • The unit supports USB and Bluetooth connections,
and can also be operated and controlled from a
remote location using an Android Mobile App.

KODYS ELITE HCP - New Generation Digital
Neuropathy Analyser
  • The procedure of thermal testing is vital in
    evaluating small-calibre A-delta and C-fibres.
These fibres are the primary transmitters of
    thermal and pain sensation.
  • Before beginning thermal testing, the technician
applies a thermal probe on the patients skin to
    heat or cool the skin.
  • When the patient reacts to the temperature
stimuli, he or she raises their hands.
  • The sensory thermal threshold is recorded with a
    comparison of the normal values.

KODYS ELITE HCP fetaures
  • The front panel has soft touch membrane keys.
  • The display is a dual colour with Red indicating
    Heat and Green indicating Cool.
  • You can select Speed - Slow/Fast.
  • You can select Mode - Heat/CooL.
  • The unit is Windows-based and uses a
    user-friendly software.
  • When not in use, the machine has an auto shut-off
features and turns off after 3 minutes.
  • There is an Over range alert and a No probe
    alert.

7
KODYS ELITE HCP
  • KODYS ELITE HCP helps to measure the thresholds
for four sensory sub-modalities. These include
    warm sensation, cold sensation, heat-induced
    pain, and cold-induced pain
