ROASTED MAKHANA KHEER

Ingredients
  • Dry Fruits (sliced almonds, pistachios dry
    coconut) ½ cup
  • Milk 1 cup
  • Makhana/ lotus seeds/ foxnuts 1 cup
  • Sugar 2 tbsp.
  • Cardamom Powder( Ilaayche ) -1 tsp
  • Ghee 1 tbsp

Procedure
  • Take a pan and heat the Ghee
  • Add Makhana
  • Stir to coat Ghee evenly on them
  • Roast on low flame till it gets golden
  • Once Makhana roasted, Add milk.
  • Stir properly and cook for 10 minutes on low
    flame.
  • Add chopped dry fruits and mix it well.
  • Cook it till the Makhana softer
  • Once the Makhana are cooked and milk gets thicker
    then add sugar.
  • Cook further for 2 minutes.
  • Add Cardamom Powder
  • Keep stirring regularly to avoid sticking of milk
    at the bottom of the pan.
  • Now Roasted Makhana Kheer is ready to serve.
