SOPs FOR STUDENTS TEACHERS HEALTH SAFETY

OVERVIEW

• Under Unlock 4.0, the Education Ministry issued
  broad guidelines for reopening of schools only
  for students of class 9th-12th. After which the
  Central Government has permitted reopening of
  schools in manageable phases after October 15th
  2020. However, under Unlock 5.0, MHA extended the
  guidelines till November end. The actual timing
  and manner of reopening will be decided by the
  individual states in a graded manner.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS

• Schools/Colleges, upon reopening, will not hold
  classes for all grades on one day.
• Attendance could be rotational, on alternate
  days, or every two days.
• Schools/Colleges can explore running in two
  shifts, in case of high enrollment numbers.
• For at least 2-3 weeks after reopening, schools
  will not conduct any assessment.
• Assessments in the form of role plays,
  choreography, quizzes, puzzles, games,
  presentations, etc., must be preferred over the
  routine pen-paper format.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS

• Wearing of masks by students, teachers, and staff
  will be compulsory.
• Aged teachers staff and those living in the
  containment zones will not be allowed to come to
  work.
• A minimum physical distance of 6-feet to be
  maintained regularly during seating.
• Regular hand hygiene routine to be followed by
  students, teachers staff members.
• Sanitization of frequently-touched surfaces in
  the school to be followed religiously.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS

•  Lastly, schools/colleges or coaching institutes
  will be allowed with a maximum of 50 of the
  space capacity and subject to a ceiling of
  maximum 200 persons.
