What is Dewa Approval?

• Dubai Electricity and water authority is the full
  form of Dewa.
• Dewa was found on 1959
• By the end of 2019, they have over 9lakh
  customers .and 110000 employees
• In Hatta, they plan to do a hydroelectric project.

How to Connect to Dewa?

• Make some copies of the documents.
• When fees is paid, connection will be active
  within 24 hrs.
• . You should have a Dewa clearance certificate,
  if you plan to leave UAE.

What are the requirements to be a Dewa certified
contractor?

• Dubai Muncipality has set some pre qualification
  standards.
• Posses a Trade license which is issued by the
  Department of Economic Development.
• Posses a University degree. (Bachelor of civil
  or electrical engineering)
• Posses some experience (3 years) which is
  attested by UAE ministry of foreign affairs
• Should be a member in UAE society of Engineers.

What documents are required for New Electricity
connection?

• Situation of the station should be given along
  with the floor plan , electrical area, LV room.
• Total connected load and Most demand
• Schedule of SMDB and MDBs
• load distributions schedule.
• KWH meters on every floor is to be arranged.
• Copy of passport and trade license.
