  • Video marketing is one of the most common and
    trendy marketing idea these days. If you are into
    video marketing and handling sales and marketing
    for any organization then it become very
    important for getting results. One of the most
    important factors while planning to shoot a video
    for the marketing perspective is the length of
    the video.

    important factors of the video marketing campaign
    as if the video is too long then it is not
    worthy. People now a days dont have time they
    try to finish the things as soon as possible. In
    these situations, making long videos is not a
    good idea. There are many platforms where you
    post video Below are few examples for better
    understanding of the video length
  • 1- 8 second crowd
  • As per the study by Media Post, people who on
    average use 8 seconds to make decisions were also
    63 more likely to buy a product. Another study
    by Microsoft says that the average person has an
    attention span of 8 seconds when multitasking.
    Here is the game that the campaign planner has to
    think of while planning to shoot a video. 8
    second span is very important in video ad
    campaign.

  • 2- Focus on first 5 seconds
  • As discussed earlier that a marketer has to focus
    on 8 seconds time while creating a video ad
    however, there is one more time in these 8
    seconds that you have to care of i.e., 5 seconds.
    If you are running your video ad on YouTube, it
    gives an option to user to skip the video after 5
    sec. So the first 5 seconds of your video should
    be catchy enough that user gets attract towards
    it or get forced to watch the full video and if
    any user does not skip the video and watches the
    complete video then half of your job is done to
    hold the user. Now the content of your video has
    to do remaining work that user gets convert into
    a customer on your store.

  • Social media is one of the biggest platform now a
    days to promote your brand and if you are
    promoting your brand on social media then you
    will also get results out of it, just you have to
    stick to some basics like the video quality,
    product or service being promoted in the video
    and moreover the video length. Nobody has too
    much time to watch lengthy videos, people
    nowadays have very less time. If the video is too
    lengthy then there are chances that user does not
    watch complete video and bounce rate may be high.
  • The length of the video should be short and the
    quality of the video content should be best. In
    simple words if we say your video should give
    more information in less time.

    feeds have 60 seconds, however, as we know while
    using social media channels like Instagram or
    Facebook, people just scroll down the feeds or
    passes by the stories so that catch is first 2-3
    seconds of the video where you have to convince
    the user to watch full video and purchase your
    product.
  • The beginning 2-3 seconds are catchy enough that
    user does not skip or scroll down instead they
    watch full video and understand what you are
    trying to deliver and gets converted in to sale.
  • While concluding we would say that the length of
    the video is also one of the most important
    factors in conversion. It impacts the sales on
    negative side and if the its a short and crisp
    video then there are more chances of increased
    conversion.
