Title:

How a Weak Heart Damages the Brain?

Description:

Research led by the Max Plank Institute revealed that heart insufficiency negatively affects the gray matter in the human brain. The soft heart process is connected straight to the reduced gray matter in those sections of the brain connected with vision and knowledge. If you need to recover your brain wellness and see any grave signs, then reach out to the neurologists for Memory Loss Treatment and Dementia Care. – PowerPoint PPT presentation

Title: How a Weak Heart Damages the Brain?

1
How a Weak Heart Damages the Brain?
A study conducted by the Max Plank Institute
showed that heart insufficiency negatively
impacts the gray matter in the human brain. The
weak heart function is linked directly to the
decreased gray matter in those areas of the
brain linked with memory and learning. It also
includes the medial parietal cortex and the
hippocampus. Even this is said to increase the
risk of Alzheimer's disease.
According to the research done by André Fischer,
German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases
(DZNE) in Göttingen, "People with heart
2
problems, especially heart failure, can
experience the cognitive deficits and possess an
increased risk of developing the Alzheimer's
disease." It is researched that heart disease
alters the DNA wrapping in the hippocampus area,
which is the brain's memory center. This type of
epigenetic change impairs the patient's gene
activity, and as a result, brain cell functions
too. Moreover, when a person suffers heart
failure, the heart muscles weaken due to the
heart attack and other types of illnesses. It
makes less blood pump throughout the body that
not only limits the physical but mental
performance too. In another study, the Max Planck
Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences
researchers with their colleagues from the
Leipzig Heart Clinic have found that grey
matters suffer from the weak heart. It is seen
that the heart's insufficiency affects the
patient's performance, and they get exhausted
and also complain about breathlessness while
under stress. Even the damage after the heart
attack is quite extensive. The neurons present
in the hippocampus are hit hard by Dementia and
Alzheimer's too. A few tests also showed that if
a person's heart weakens, it also affects the
neurons in the hippocampus area. Moreover, if the
heart is not pumping the blood vigorously and the
brain's blood vessels are not working right, the
brain will not get enough food and energy. Blood
and oxygen are required for the proper
functioning of the brain. So, if the brain
functioning impairs, it can affect the memory,
thinking, energy levels, concentration, and the
body systems regulated by the brain. It is seen
that brain functioning and performance may
3
become less efficient with aging but maintaining
good heart health can help brain functioning in
the later years of life. If you want to restore
your brain health and see some serious symptoms,
then reach out to the neurologists for Memory
