1A SMALL CHANGE CAN MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE
2- The thought of supporting a child in need is the
best gesture from a human. Not everyone has the
compassion to uplift a fellow being or look out
for the welfare of the most vulnerable. But every
privileged person has the ability to sponsor a
child. Because by helping poor children, you are
helping our nation progress.
3- World Vision India works in over 6200 communities
in 23 states across the country. The organisation
serves over 26 lakh children. Over the last 60
years, World Vision India has committed to
serving and uplifting the most vulnerable of our
nation. - World Vision India address various issues
hindering the development of a child like
malnutrition, lack of access to school or proper
sanitation, no awareness of rights and other
social issues, no proper income for parents and
much more. By addressing such issues and helping
poor children, World Vision India provides
holistic development for every child. In other
words, as children receive the benefits, the
environment they live in also progresses so that
change permeates every aspect of a childs life.
4CHILD SPONSORSHIP
Meet Harpal, she studies in class 9 at a
government school in Faridkot. English is her
favorite subject because she likes learning
anything new. My English teacher teaches us
really well, in a very simple way. Maybe this is
why I like English and I also top the subject in
my class, she says. Not long ago, Harpal and her
classmates were not regular to school. They
frequently missed classes. Reason being, lack of
proper toilets. Toilets in the school were in a
mess. They were dirty, broken and clogged.
Because of this, the girls had to walk home to
relive themselves. Since they had to walk, they
lost a considerable amount of time, eventually
missing classes. Harpals house is a 10 to15
minute walk from school. This made her miss at
least half an hour of her classes. But now
Harpal and her friends are excited to have proper
washrooms. They are regular to school and dont
miss classes. They even get to see each other
frequently in school because they are regular to
school now.A toilet may seem to be a very
trivial commodity for people like us. Because it
is always within our reach. But for children like
Harpal, access to proper toilets makes a huge
difference. Now the girls can go to school
regularly, attend all their classes, study well
and reach greater heights. When asked what her
dreams are, Harpal excitedly shares, Like
everyone, I also have dreams. I want to grow up
and become a judge. Besides that, I want to open
a college for poor girls from our village.
5CHILD SPONSORSHIP
When you sponsor a child, children like Harpal
are able to dream and work towards achieving
