What is Kaal Sarp Dosh?
  • Kaal Sarp Dosha appears in the astrological
    kundali of an individual when all the planets are
    kind of squeezed between Rahu and Ketu.
  • Rahu is the symbol of the front part of the snake
    and Ketu is the remaining body of the snake. Rahu
    and Ketu engulf all the other planets.
  • If this dosha is present in the horoscope, there
    is a lack of positive energy in the life of the
    person. He always finds problems in every walk of
    his life.
  • Kaal Sarp Dosh can affect the life of a person
    for 47 years or in some cases it affects the
    whole lifespan.

  • When it comes to Kaal Sarp Dosha Puja,
    Trimbakeshwar mandir in Nashik City of
    Maharashtra State comes first in the mind.
  • It is about 28 km from Nashik.
  • This is one of the famous holy temples of Lord
    Bholenath. The Godavari river originates from
    this temple.
  • One can travel to Trimbakeshwar via various
    routes. The place is well connected via roads,
    trains or airplanes. One can consider below
    options based on their preference.

Trimbakeshwar Temple Darshan and Timings
  • The main temple opens daily at 530 am and
    darshan goes till 9 pm. The normal darshan is
    available from a distance but if devotees want to
    perform a special puja then they are allowed to
    enter the main sanctum of the temple.Mangal
    Aarti starts at 530 am and it ends at 6 am. Some
    special puja like Kaal Sarp Puja, rudrabhishek
    etc can be done between 7 am to 9 am.
  • And, the Madhyana (noon) Puja starts at 1 pm.
  • And, the Sandhya (evening) Pooja happens between
    7 to 9 pm.
  • On all Mondays of the month, a jhanki
    (procession) is performed in a Palki. The Palki
    contains the silver Panch Mukhi Mukhota from the
    Trimbakeshwar Temple to the Kushavarta tank,
    which is the origin of Godavari river, and back.

Material required for Kaal Sarp Dosh Pooja?
  • The native should bring idols of three serpents
    made of lead, copper and silver. The native
    should wear new clothes for the puja.And, puja
    altar, vermilion, flowers, sandalwood paste and
    turmeric paste.
  • Also, take the puja thali and three metal snakes
    on a platter.
  • Then, make a cone shaped Ganpati shape with
    turmeric paste and keep mango leaves or betel
    nut. Thereafter, bathe snake statues with milk,
    water, honey and other aromatic substances and
    make lamps with flour and cotton balls. Offer
    coconut, fruits, sprouts and betel nuts to the
    snake.
