How to Restore Backup Files in QuickBooks
  • Your computer file contains your company data up
    to the date the backup was made. confirm you
    restore the foremost recent file.
  • Follow these steps to revive an area backup from
    a CD, USB flash drive, local disk drive, network
    folder, or other media. If you protected your
    company file using the service provided by
    QuickBooks Online Backup, you want to restore it
    through that very same service. Click - Restore

  • Restrictions Because your backup copy is during
    a compressed file format, you want to use the
    restore wizard to bring the info back to
    QuickBooks. don't use the Copy command from
    Windows.

    during a network folder, insert the CD, USB flash
    drive, or other memory device within the
    appropriate drive.
  • In QuickBooks, attend the File menu and click on
    Open or Restore Company to open the restore
    wizard.
  • Click Restore a backup copy (.qbb) then click
    Next.
  • Click Local backup then click Next. The Open
    Backup Copy window opens.

  • If needed, click the design in drop-down arrow
    and navigate to the situation where you saved the
    computer file, which features a .qbb file
    extension (for example, mycompanyname.qbb).
  • Select the computer file and click on Open.
  • Click Next.
  • If needed, click the Save in drop-down arrow and
    navigate to the situation where you would like to
    revive the computer file.
  • Select the computer file, click Save, and answer
    any messages QuickBooks may display.

  •  If QuickBooks finds a corporation file with an
    equivalent name within the folder you specified,
    QuickBooks asks whether want to exchange the
    prevailing file. If you click Replace, QuickBooks
    erases the prevailing file and replaces it with
    the file youre restoring. If youre not certain
    you would like the prevailing file erased, click
    Cancel and provides the file youre restoring a
    special name.
  •  The company file is converted to a daily company
    file, with a .qbw extension (or a .qba extension
    if the backup was made up of an Accountants
    Copy). the corporate file and every one of its
    related files are stored during this location.
