  • How your website ranks in Googles search results
is based on hundreds, sometimes thousands, of
factors that Google weighs together to provide
its search algorithm. The general rule of thumb
for marketing and advertising online is this
content is king. Big brands know that if you
have good content, you can get your website (or
app) ranked higher in Google because your website
will be more relevant. The better it is relevant,
the higher it will rank. And the higher it ranks,
the more traffic you will get. We have put
together a list of 15 factors that Google
considers when ranking websites in search
results. While this isnt an exhaustive list,
this will give you a general idea of what Google
looks for when ranking search results.
  • How Many Links Does The Website Have?
  • Google considers how many links a website has to
be relevant. These links are known as link
juice or link back. Google gives preference to
websites that have a lot of links to them. A
website with links from good, authoritative
sources will naturally have a better rank than a
website with links from bad sources.

2. The Authority of the Links This is another
determining factor of relevance. A website with
links from low-quality, low-reputation sources
will naturally have a worse rank than a website
with links from high-quality, high-reputation
sources such as Wikipedia or Yahoo! News. 3. The
Relevance of The Links The relevance of links is
the most important factor in how your website
ranks in Google. Its essentially a number that
tells Google how relevant a link is to the
content that it links to. If you have just a few
links from high-reputation sources on your site,
Google will still rank your website higher
because those links will be more relevant. 4.
The Amount of Words on the Page Google also
considers words on a page to be an important
factor in how a website ranks. Usually, more
words are better than fewer words (i.e., a 500
word article will usually rank higher than a 200
word article).

5. The Date of the Article This is another very
important factor for ranking a webpage in Google
search results. Google considers content that was
posted more recently to be more relevant than
content that was posted a long time ago. 6. The
Page Content The content a webpage has is also
another important factor for Google rankings.
Its generally agreed that around 90 of the
content on a webpage should be original. 7. The
Use of Keywords Google considers the use of
keywords on a page to be an important factor in
how a website ranks. The same rules apply here,
too. The more relevant the keyword is to the
content of a webpage, the higher it should
rank. 8. Backlinks From Google, like other
search engines, looks at backlinks to judge the
quality of your website. The more backlinks a
website has to others that are high-reputation,
the better it will rank.

9. Page Authority Another important factor for
ranking a webpage in Google search results is
page authority. Google uses page authority to
determine how relevant a webpage is to the topic
of itself. As the page authority of a webpage
increases, it becomes more relevant and will rank
higher. 10. The Number of Links to the
Homepage The number of links to a websites
homepage is an important factor in how it will
rank. In other words, the more links that lead
back to a website, the better it will rank. 11.
External Links Links to a website from outside
sources (i.e., not from other pages on the same
site) can help a website rank higher. This is
because that link, in essence, says that this
website is relevant to the outside world, not
just its own users. The more links that point
back to your site, the better it will rank.
6
12. The Domain Authority Google also looks at
which external websites Google thinks is relevant
to your website. In this case, it looks to the
authority of a link, not the specific page. 13.
Text To Code Ratio Google also considers how much
of a websites content is made up of HTML code.
The more text to HTML code ratio there is, the
better it will rank. 14. User Experience Googles
search results are meant to be user-friendly.
The search engine itself wants to make it as easy
as possible for users to find what they need. If
Google believes that a website isnt
user-friendly, that website will not rank as well
as it otherwise could. 15. Mobile
Friendliness With more and more people accessing
the Internet using their mobile devices, Google
realized that its search results were not
user-friendly for mobile devices.
7
Conclusion By understanding the importance of
these factors, you can use them to your advantage
when you are designing your website or while
doing SEO. You should focus more on getting the
above factors right so that you get better
ranking on search engines such as Google. Also
you can try to hire a SEO Company in
Mumbai or SEO Expert for best results. Article
