Derek Schuelein has been in the educational
sector for more than a decade. He is currently
the Principal of Rye High School, Rye City, NY.
Despite the troubling circumstances, he stood as
a strong leader.

Derek Schueleins most recent achievements
include Developing and implementing school-wide
remote and hybrid learning models. He also
trained teachers in the use of instructional
technology.

Derek Schuelein provided PD sessions to convert
lessons to an online format. He initiated a
portable device pilot program in the Math
department.

All of his efforts were for the sake of his
school and the students who went there. Derek did
this all during the Pandemic years of 2020-2021.

Derek Schuelein has worked very hard over the
years as an assistant/associate Principal and
then finally as a Principal now. He is the
embodiment of Leadership and success and has many
certifications and achievements to prove it.
