Air ambulances use air transport by airplane or
helicopter to transport cases to and from
healthcare facilities and disaster scenes. Air
ambulances transportation patients to specialist
care, they can also bring professional care to
the accident scene, unusually for major trauma
cases. They are essentially used for
international or long-distance carriers. Air
medical services give fast and speedy transport
during emergencies. They can spread wide or
hilly areas in less time, they are more
convenient than land ambulances. This makes them
very useful in sparsely populated rural regions.
