LISTEN RESPECT EMPOWER
Ward 5 is one of the most diverse and dynamic
areas in the city. It is what makes Calgary one
of the best cities in the world to live. Over the
past few years, Ward 5 has faced many challenges,
from the Covid-19 crisis to the hailstorm of
2020, the fourth most costly natural disaster in
Canadian history. I am inspired by our resilience
in the face of the many challenges we have faced,
but I know that there are still many that remain,
and there will be more to come.

Raj is a son, husband, father, brother,
Calgarian, neighbour, friend, oil and gas
professional, dog lover, soccer player, hockey
fan and cricket enthusiast. And sometimes a guy
with the best summer BBQ ideas!

Since his days as a teenager, Raj has been
actively engaged in his local community. He has
been a regular worshiper and volunteer at the
local Sikh temple in Martindale. Raj continues to
support many different community initiatives. He
has mentored many young professionals, and he has
helped them find jobs here in Calgary. He also
works with seniors and newcomers and teaches them
computer skills, and helps them with their job
searches through the Calgary Public Library in
the Northeast. I WANT YOUR INPUT! I believe in
two-way communication. As I shape my campaign
platform, your ideas and feedback are important
to me.
