  • It is up to you. You can have it alone or add
    protein powder to a smoothie or something. Many
    people prefer to mix protein powder with water as
    it helps you build lean muscle without putting on
    weight. It is easy to digest as opposed to having
    it with milk. 
  • Milk contains a lot of fat and carbs. It will
    make you put on weight. It is better to buy a
    product that is from a reputed brand. Always go
    for a product that is tested for quality. Select
    the best protein source for you. There are a few
    such as plant-based, dairy, meat, etc. If you are
    allergic to soy, you should check out options
    from other sources.

    you should not opt for whey protein. Some
    products have artificial sweeteners, sugars,
    vegetable fats and oils, etc. Some brands also
