ABOUT UNIVERSITY

• The Maharashtra Animal Fishery Sciences
  University came into being in the year 2000.
• However, The College is recognized and approved
  by the National Assessment and Accreditation
  Council (NAAC).
• Moreover, The University was carved out of the
  four Agricultural Universities in the State by
  transferring five Veterinary colleges, one
  postgraduate Institute and one dairy technology
  college, a dairy technology institute and a
  diploma institute.
• Also, the vission of the college is to provide
  desirable values, attitudes, to develop
  scientific research and ethos of Indian culture.
• In addition, the mission of the College of
  Education is to provide quality learning
  experiences and develop the holistic personality
  of the youth.
• Likewise, the college has committed itself to
  work towards national and international
  distinction to prepare leaders in education.

HISTORY

• The Maharashtra Animal Fishery Sciences
  University came into being in the year 2000.
• However, the university was formally notified on
  November 17th, 2000 and was established under the
  State Act No. 1998 (MAH.XVII of 1998) on December
  03rd, 2000 with its headquarter at Nagpur.
• Also, the University has been carved out of the
  four Agriculture Universities in the state.
• However, the institution is committed to maintain
  values, beliefs and attitudes that shapes and
  enhance the behaviour in the path of success.
• Moreover, University also receives a major
  financial support from the Indian Council of
  Agricultural Research as development grants being
  a State Agriculture University (SAU)
