ABOUT UNIVERSITY
The Global Open University laid its foundation in
2006. It is the joint private-public partnership
university between the World Institution Building
Programme (WIBP) and the Government of Nagaland.
Later in 2013, the court approved The Global Open
University for distance education. Hence, The
Global Open University is a distance learning
University. The university has its location in
Wokha, Nagaland. The University Grants Commission
recognized The Global Open University. Moreover,
the university is a proud member of AIU, DEC, and
Ministry of Human Resource Development,
Government of India. Also, NAAC recognized the
university by providing the highest grade 'A.'
The campus is huge and sprawls around 50 acres.

Earlier in 2006, The Global Open University came
into existence. Moreover, The Global Open
University holds its excellence in learning,
teachings, development, and research across
various fields. In addition, they provide the
students with employment - centric and
job-oriented education. Hence, the university
primary aim is to promote educational and
employment excellence. Thus, The Global Open
University helps students to achieve their goals

Placements Placements in The Global Open
University work in harmony with the students.

through placement cell. Also, 60 of students get
their internships for their course. Moreover, the
university trains and prepares the student
through mock interviews. Also, they conduct
workshops to help the students for getting them

five lakhs per annum. The average salary offered
was two lakhs per annum. Moreover, various
renowned companies such as Pixel, Zee, etc.,
visited the campus.
