ABOUT UNIVERSITY
Situated in Imphal, Manipur, Manipur
International University is also known as MIU,
was established in the year 2019. The courses
provided by the university are really different
from the other universities. They usually deal

as theology and religious sciences, astronomy,

HISTORY
Manipur International University, also known as
MIU, was established in the year 2019. It is an
Autonomous Statutory State International Public
University established, recognized, and
accredited by the State Government of Manipur.
Moreover, MIU is established by the State
Government of Manipur via Manipur International
University Ordinance, 2018 (Manipur Ordinance
No.1 of 2018). It was notified in the Official
Gazette on 26th June 2018. The main intention of
the establishment of this university is to
provide education to all the students who are not
getting the quality education as expected. The
university got its final ascent from the honble
Governor of Manipur on 23rd Jan 2019, and also it
has been notified by the Law and Legislative
Affairs Department, State Government of Manipur
in the official Gazette Extraordinary of Manipur
State on 14th Feb 2019. The State Government of
Manipur, via the MIU Act, 2018, accredited and
recognized the university.
