• Freeze lemon rinds, rock salt, and water in ice
  cube trays, and once frozen, place them in the
  drain and turn on the garbage disposal until they
  are completely gone. The salt will help cleanse
  the gunk from the blades, the ice helps remove
  built up grease and residue, and the lemon helps
  keep it smell sweeter, for longer.

• Keep your oven clean
• The dirtier your oven is, the smellier it will
  get each time you use it, so keeping it clean is
  important for the overall health of your kitchen
  and home. To do so, combine 1/3 of a cup of water
  with 1/3 of a cup of white vinegar, and ½ a cup
  of baking soda in a spray bottle, and shake well.
  Then, take out the oven grates and spray the
  solution all over the inside of your oven, taking
  care not to spray the heat elements. Close the
  door, and leave it overnight if possible, or for
  at least 12 hours.

• The next day, wipe the oven down with a cloth
  soaked in water and dish soap, and dry it with a
  soft, clean cloth.
• Make your oven racks sparkle
• Okay, so sparkle might be pushing it a bit, but
  you can certainly get them much cleaner by
  soaking them in the bathtub (or large receptacle)
  filled with water and laundry detergent. Leave
  them to soak for a few hours before rinsing them
  with hot water.

• Clean the range hood
• Vegetable oil is fantastic for cleaning range
  goods, just be sure not to use too much pour a
  small amount onto a dry cloth or paper towel, and
  wipe the area clean to remove dirt.
• Dont forget to clean the filter
• A simple and effective way to clean the filter on
  your range hood is to bring a large cooking pot
  to the boil, and slowly add around ½ a cup of
  baking soda. Once both are boiling, turn the heat
  off and totally submerge the filter in the pot.
  You may need to flip it at some point, if it
  doesnt fully fit, and take care as the pot and
  the filter will be very hot.

• Clean your microwave with lemons
• Lemons are incredibly versatile, and while
  tasting great in a gin and tonic, are equally
  good at helping removing dirt and grease in
  kitchens. To clean your microwave with lemons,
  pour around ½ a cup of water into a small bowl
  and squeeze lemon juice in you can also place
  the cut lemon halves in the bowl. Pop the bowl in
  the microwave for 3 minutes or so on high, wait
  for five minutes with the door closed, and then
  hey presto, you should find the grease, stains
  and stuck on food particles, easy to wipe away
  with a damp cloth.
