Dr. Al Rogers worked as a Superintendent of
Schools during the pandemic. He served Merced
City School District and is proud of the way
students and educators handled the crisis.

Chief Strategy Officer
Al Rogers served as the Chief Strategy Officer
for the Sacramento City Unified School District
Board of Education. After becoming the
Superintendent, Al Rogers led the initiative to
reopen schools in MCSC and increase equity for
low-income students and male students of color.

Independent Consultant
Independent consultant Al Rogers was previously
the superintendent of St. Hope Public Schools.
Catering to autistic learners, this charter
school included 2000 students, mostly from
disadvantaged families.

Career in Education
During a long career in education, Dr. Al Rogers
received several awards. His awards include the
Golden Bell award in 2018 as well as an award
from the National College for School Leadership.
