Title: Physical Rehab
1Pre Surgical Rehab
Pre-surgical rehab is gaining popularity in the
community of surgical and physical therapy
communities day by day. Pre-surgical therapy is
a treatment program that is generally designed by
a therapist to help the patients to achieve
greater outcomes after their surgery.
Most commonly for the patients who have
pre-planned joint replacements or other any kind
of reparative operations, pre-surgical
rehabilitation consistently helps them to reduce
the time and challenges of post-surgical
rehab. Mainly Pre-surgical therapies are often
done for those undergoing surgery for rotator
cuff, hip, shoulder and ACL reconstructions.
2About Spineapple
Two years ago, I felt an intense pain in my right
elbow. After being an active person involved in
lots of physical activity, a trusted doctor
diagnosed me with a condition called Tennis
Elbow, where the connecting tissues between my
forearm muscles and elbow were inflamed. It was
time for a quick steroid injection and a stop at
a local physical therapy clinic, luckily just
down the road, where I asked for an appointment.
This is where things got a little tricky.
My initial thoughts were how convenient this
could be for me. However, nothing could be
further from the truth. They did not have the
availability to meet the needs of a working
professional. Some days I found myself forced to
choose between work or therapy. It went as far as
me missing meetings just to accommodate these
sessions. It was then I learned that therapists
were often forced into contingency, where they
had to travel between locations just to get
steady work. All this travel means less time
working with patients like myself, and therefore
less convenience for the people who need them
most.
3Auto injury
Automobile accident injuries are usually because
of slamming into another vehicle or object, a
change accident or being hurt from broken glass
or torn metal. A frontal crash will cause
injury to the top, neck, chest, legs and feet. A
side-impact crash will cause injury to the top
and pelvis. In step with the NHTSA, the head,
neck, pelvis, abdomen, legs, knees and feet are
the foremost common components of the body to be
lacerate during a car collision.
4Neck and Shoulder Pain
Our shoulder is a ball and socket joint with a
huge range of movement. The real scenario we
face is like that, patients are fatigued with
symptoms like difficulty in moving the head,
headaches, and tightness and muscle spasms
including bad pain. Some are too much bothered
with pain that they ask, "why does my shoulder
hurt me so much?" Currently, one-third of
people are suffering from chronic neck and
shoulder pain with some unknown reasons.
