Entering Mainland Ecuador
You will need a negative COVID test result to
enter Ecuador. The country no longer accepts the
rapid-antigen testing that allowed many to travel
with little planning as proof of health for
entering the country. Youll need to get an
RT-PCR test within three days of your trip or
documentation that certifies you have received
all doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. (The
certificate must be valid for at least 14 days
before the flight).

Galapagos-Specific Entry Requirements
The requirements to enter the Galapagos Islands
include the need for that RT-PCR test to be taken
no more than 72 hours before boarding the
aircraft youre using to get to the Islands.
Meaning that if youre touring mainland Ecuador
for a few days before traveling to the islands,
youll need an RT-PCR test before entering
Ecuador and another test before heading to the
