• Theres been a time in everyones life, probably,
  where we have thought that we could fix anything
  ourselves. Of course, wed want to think that,
  because it saves money! Were handy! Its people
  fixing it at the shop, were people, its the
  same thing! Right?

• There are some things you can fix yourself on
  your car (weve been talking about cars this
  whole time! Ha!) but then there are other things
  that, even if you THINK you can fix them, you
  should NOT. Here is a list of those things. Take
  these fixes to your dealer. Please, please do
  that. Youll save money not because of the fix
  itself, but because if you tried to fix the thing
  and then messed up, the repair on THAT would be a
  heck of a lot more expensive than the initial
  repair. Trust us!!

• Never try to repair anything to do with the
  transmission. Even replacing the fluid is a pro
  fix. Of course, youll spend money no matter
  what, but when you trust a pro youll get what
  you pay for in terms of a quality fix that

• Dont mess with your windshield, either. People
  sell kits that will fix your windshield but
  please, if a crack or chip is large enough
  theres nothing you can do short of replacing the
  window. Your windshield can have cracks that are
  invisible to the naked eye, but that are really
  damaging to the structural integrity of the glass
  especially with the force of the wind against
  it as you drive.

• The sound system is another thing that you should
  probably hire a pro to mess with. If you want to
  upgrade your sound system, great! Go ahead! But
  when you think about all the wires that are
  involved, and how wires can lead to electrical
  fires and shorts, well. Thatd be enough to make
  me go to the pros.

• Your fuel pump is also kind of sacrosanct.
  Because of the precision required for the
  installation, you should take your vehicle to a
  professional to have your fuel pump replaced. If
  you mess up, you can total your car from the
  inside out. Not something Id want to be
  responsible for, honestly.

  Sure, you can buy little machines that will turn
  off the maintenance required or check engine
  lights, but does that actually fix anything?
  Nope. So, take your vehicle to your dealer, have
  them actually fix whats making the light come
  on, and there you go!
