2Introduction
IBPS stands for Institute of Banking Personnel
Selection. It is a government autonomous
recruitment body. IBPS conducts examinations
through common recruitment program for all Public
Sector Banks. It was founded in 1975 by A. S.
Deshpande
- IBPS completes the hiring cycle for bank exams
for four unique posts in particular - (I) Probationary Officer,
- (ii) Clerk,
- (iii) Regional Rural Banks Officers Scale 1, 2,
3, Office Clerk and - (iv) Specialist Officer for Law, IT, HR,
Management, Agricultural Field and Marketing
Officer. - IBPS RRB Clerk comprises three stages of
selection. - Preliminary Exam
- Main Exam
- There is a single IBPS RRB Clerk application for
all two stages however, separate admit cards are
released for each exam. - Candidates need to clear the Preliminary Exam
successfully. A preliminary exam is a qualifying
exam for the further stages of the selection
process. Successful candidates will be called to
attend the Main Exam. Then, They would be given
jobs on a provisional basis based on their
performance in the Main Examination and the
vacancies reported by the RRBs.
