ABOUT UNIVERSITY
Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences is a state
university situated in Vijayawada, Andhra
Pradesh. This university is also known as NTRUHS
and it offers various Undergraduate,
Postgraduate, Ph.D. courses. Along with that
they also offer different diploma courses and
super-specialty courses for its students. NTRUHS
is a public university. This university was
established by the then-Chief Minister, and this
institution is named after its first chancellor
and founder NT Rama Rao.

HISTORY
This Institution is named after its first
chancellor of the university, NTR Rao. The
university was constructed as the University of
Health Sciences by the Andhra Pradesh government.
And also inaugurated by him on 9th April 1986.
However, it started functioning on 1st November
1986. Earlier, the university was known as the
Andhra Pradesh University of Health
Sciences. After the death of NTR Rao, the
committee decided to change the name of the
Institution and to rename it after the name of
its founder, NT Rama Rao on 2nd February 1998. In
the year 2011, this university celebrated its
silver jubilee.

INFRASTRUCTURE
In other words, NTRUHS provides a great learning
experience to its students. Additionally, it has
also ensured to make the student experience
