The Rules of Texas Holdem
Before you start playing Hold'em, you'll want to
learn the rules. In Hold'em, each player is
dealt two personal cards (called 'hole cards')
that belong to them alone. Five community cards
are face up to form a 'board'. All players in the
game use these distributed community cards along
with their hole cards, each player creating
their best possible five-card poker hand. In
Hold'em, a player can use any of the combinations
of seven cards available to create the best
possible five-card poker hand, using zero, one,
or two of his or her hole cards. To view the

The four variations of Hold'em

1. Limit Texas Hold'em There is a pre-determined
   betting limit on each betting round.
2. No-Limit Texas Hold'em A player can bet any
   amount, up to all his chips.
3. Pot Limit Texas Hold'em A player can bet on any
   amount up to the size of the pot.
4. Mixed Texas Hold'em The game switches between rou
   nds of Limit Texas Hold'em and no-limit Texas
   Hold'em.
