About us
The Blazing Donkey has been under the proud
ownership of the Martin family since 1989. The
award winning hotel accommodation was opened to
much acclaim in 1995 by the late Peter Alliss and
became popular very quickly. Gardening has always
been a passion for the Martins so imagine their
delight when in 1997 their hard work to create
such a beautiful environment was recognised when
the Blazing Donkey became the first ever property
in England to be licensed to host outdoor civil
marriages. Today, The Blazing Donkey is
recognised as one of Kents most popular wedding
and party venues.
