Michael Landis is also known as Dr. Michael
Landis, is a multitalented individual who is a
historian, educator, and author. Currently, he is
serving as the Communications Director and Public
Programs Manager for the Saratoga County History
Center (Ballston Spa, NY). Moreover, he is also
serving as the Research Associate at Skidmore
College in Saratoga Springs, NY.

Michael Landis completed his Ph.D. degree in
History from The George Washington University.
Some of his academic specialties include
Antebellum Civil War USA Slavery Politics
Partisanship Public History.

Michael Landis has written books and has been
involved in peer-reviewing different articles,
essays, and book chapters. He wrote Northern Men
with Southern Loyalties The Democratic Party and
the Sectional Crisis, published by Cornell
University Press in 2014.

Michael Landis also has op-eds in national media
outlets, like The Washington Post and Smithsonian
Magazine. Not just this, but Michael Landis has
been invited to different events and conferences
organized over the couple of years.
