Low coercivity magnets are classified as soft
ferrite magnets. What exactly does this mean? The
capacity of a magnetic substance to tolerate
external magnetic forces without becoming
demagnetized is measured by coercivity.

Manganese-zinc ferrite (MnZn, also known as
MnaZn(1-a)Fe2O4). MnZn has higher permeability
and saturation induction than NiZn. NiZn
(NiaZn(1-a)Fe2O4) is a nickel-zinc ferrite
(NiZn). NiZn ferrites have higher resistivity
than MnZn ferrites and are hence better suited
for frequencies above 1 MHz.
