Skin
3
Describe mechanism of gaseous exchange in frog
  • Inhalation
  • Mouth floor is lowered volume of thoracic cavity
increases pressure decreases allowing air to
flow in through open nostrils nostrils then
close mouth floor is raised air is forced into
the lungs oxygen diffuses into capillaries
carbon (IV) oxide diffuses out of capillaries
    into the lungs

4
Exhalation
  • Mouth floor is lowered as nostrils remain
closed volume increases in the mouth cavity
pressure decreases in the mouth cavity sucking
in air from the lungs nostrils open mouth floor
is raised pressure increases pushing air out of
    nostrils.
