What is GeoGebra?
  • GeoGebra is a dynamic mathematics open source
(free) software for learning and teaching
mathematics in schools. It was developed by
Markus Hohenwarter and an international team of
programmers. They did a brilliant job and we as
mathematics teachers and lecturers must salute
them. This Dynamic Mathematics Software is for
all levels of education that brings together
    geometry, algebra, functions, spreadsheets,
graphing, statistics, and calculus in one
easy-to-use package. You can download and use it
    for free.

Geogebra Classic Features
  • Geometry, Algebra and Spreadsheet are connected
    and fully dynamic
  • Computer Algebra System (CAS) for symbolic
    calculations
  • 3D Graphics View available
  • Easy-to-use interface, yet many powerful features
  • Authoring tool to create interactive learning
    materials as web pages
  • Open source software available freely for non
    commercial users.

Perspectives and Views
  • What are perspectives?
  • Depending on the mathematics you want to use
GeoGebra Classic for, you can select one of the
    default Perspectives. Each Perspective displays
those Views and other user interface components
most relevant for the corresponding field of
    mathematics.

5
Perspectives and Views
  • GeoGebra Classic provides the following
    Perspectives for mathematical objects

Graphing
Geometry
Probability
CAS
3D Graphics
? Spreadsheet

Perspectives and Views
  • Each Perspective offers its own Toolbar that
contains a selection of Tools and range
of Commands as well as Predefined Functions and
Operators that allow you to create dynamic
    constructions with different representations
    of mathematical objects.
