• In honour of Black History Month, we've produced
  a list of some of the most anticipated fiction
  books by Black authors, as voted on by Goodreads
  members. The books we highlight below, which
  range from well-known to emerging Black authors
  and were released this year or will be released
  in the coming months, illuminate various aspects
  of the Black experience, including friendship,
  family, and love, as well as gentrification,
  sexuality, and racism past, present, and future.

Bans on Books By Black Authors
Recent ban on books by Black authors, as well as
the ensuing protests and responses from Black
students, have highlighted a nationwide battle
against critical race theory. Some of the books
in question are part of America's great literary
legacy, from important works like Toni Morrison's
"Beloved" to Margot Lee Shetterly's "Hidden
Figures," and interest in them is on the rise.
