g Self-ligating orthodontic devices are becoming
increasingly common. They are inserted similarly
to standard metal braces, with the exception that
no rubber bands are used because they are not
required. Instead, a specific clip is employed to
aid in the placement of the arch wire. This
procedure has been demonstrated to save time, be
gentler on your teeth, be less painful, and
require fewer visits to the orthodontist in some
situations.
