• The capex model tends to be adopted by companies
  when the returns from the project are not
  anticipated till after a period long enough that
  deters the investors from funding it. The capex
  model is also adopted in a case where the
  company's management has plans of expansion and
  wants to fund this expansion through internal
  sources without having to incur debt. In either
  case of capex models, essential inputs for
  calculation of investments are cash flow and
