Challenge
Poydras Home wanted to deploy a biometric time
clock solution for their employees and members of
their communities. They had previously used a
fingerprint biometric solution that didnt work
well for them. As people get older and lose
elasticity in their skin, it becomes harder for
scanners to read their fingerprints. Also,
employees who wash their hands frequently or use
hand sanitizer have a difficult time with
fingerprint scanners. This is why Poydras Home
decided to deploy the RightPunch app with facial
recognition for integration with UKG Ready.
Solution
After a thorough analysis of Poydras Homes
problems, UKG (formerly known as Kronos), a
workforce and human capital management solution
provider, recommended the RightPunch app with
facial recognition to capture the time data of
hundreds of employees in their community. This
solution has been a perfect fit for tracking
employee work time as they are now able to easily
punch in or punch out without any difficulties as
mentioned above. In addition, Poydras Home has
deployed the RightPunch app on standard,
off-the-shelf tablets, removing the need for
specialized and more expensive hardware.
Using the RightPunch app, employees simply take
their picture with the front-facing camera on any
tablet. The solution uses face matching to
identify the employee and then seamlessly submit
their time data to UKG Ready.
