1
Diamonds Symmetry
  • Ouros Jewels

2
What is Symmetry of Diamond?
  • Grading of diamonds facet, table, culet, girdle,
    crown, pavilions alignment.
  • How facets and angles of diamonds are
    symmetrical.
  • Check if tables culet centered, Size and shape
    of all facets uniform
  • When You buy Certified diamond you will get
    certification report of it.
  • Poor symmetry diamond will not good for valuable
    jewelry.

3
Demo Certificate for symmetry
4
Diamond Symmetry defects
  • Off-center culet
  • Off-center table
  • Misshapen facets
  • Out-of-round girdle outline
  • Crown Pavilion misalignment
  • Wavy girdle

5
Off-Center Culet
  • Diamonds bottom point is not exactly in middle.

6
Off-center table
  • Top of tables facet is not perfectly centered.

7
Miss-shapen Facets
  • Pattern is not symmetrical.
  • Triangular shaped facets are not in same order.

8
Out of roundgirdle outline
  • When a round cut diamond is shaped improperly.

9
Misalignment of Crown and Pavilion
  • Crown and pavilion facets should be aligned at
    girdle points.

10
Wavy Girdle
  • The girdle of diamond is not in straight line
    around it.

11
Symmetry Grade
  • To check diamonds genuineness, A light is passed
from top of it. If light straight reflect to eye
then it is very good quality diamond.
  • Because of defects in diamond shaping, light
passes from top and skips through bottom or side
    .this doesnt make value.
  • Diamond certification laboratory check for these
several defects to grade a diamond to one of
Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, and
    Poor Symmetry .

12
Excellent Symmetry
  • Excellent symmetry diamond does not contain any
    defects.
  • Rare to find.
  • Reflects Light in straight 4 times more.

13
Very Good Symmetry
  • Contains a very slight misalignment
  • Reflects light from other way of top.
  • Low reflection compared to EXCELLENT
  • Useful in tight budget.

14
Good Symmetry
  • Contains few misalignments.
  • Low reflection than Excellent, Very Good,
    Diamonds.
  • May Contain missing facet.
  • Costs less.

15
Fair Symmetry
  • We and 80 of people dont choose this grade
    symmetry.
  • At Least Good symmetry diamond is recommended.
  • We can see some Defects by naked eye.
  • Light reflection is not proper

16
Poor Symmetry
  • Thick Girdle, Light could not enter into diamond.
  • Light skips in unwanted manner.
  • Lots of defects, misalignments.
  • Not recommended.
