VISITING A LOCAL FARM-
There are many interesting activities that assist
youngsters to understand how farms run, such as
feeding animals and raking hay. For small
children, simply watching the animals in their
paddocks can be just as entertaining.

Take Them For A Green Walk-
Children enjoy having a sense of direction. Go on
a green walk with gloves and a bag to pick up
any small bits of trash in the woods or a park
near you. Going with other children and wearing
high-visibility vests can make it even more
enjoyable for them.

TEACH THEM GARDENING-
Growing something from scratch and then being
able to consume it will give children a big sense
of accomplishment! Teaching children to garden
enables them to have green fingers later in life.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle- The Three Rs
Why not make and label recycling bins at home?
They can draw illustrations of what should belong
in each bin and then practise sorting by
putting the correct objects in each one. The
three Rs are a great approach for kids to
remember how to be more sustainable.

MAKE COMPOST CONTAINER-
Childrens green habits can be improved by giving
them responsibility for their own compost
container. This compost bottle activity is an
excellent method to demonstrate the process of
composting.

MAKING A WARM FARM-
The majority of kids like watching worms in
action. Even if you arent a big worm fan, this
simple eco-friendly project is a terrific way to
teach your kids about recycling and protection of
the environment.

EXPLORING NATURE WITH THEM-
Exploring nature, whether on foot or by bike, is
a wonderful way for children to develop an
appreciation for environmental stewardship.
