5 Treatments to Improve Your Pigmentation and
Skin Tone in Singapore
2
What is Pigmentation on skin? Pigmentation is
the darkening of skin due to the increased
production of melanin. It can affect any part of
the body including eyelids, lips, nipples,
genitals and other parts. Pigmentation in these
areas may occur due to hormonal changes or sun
exposure. What are the causes of pigmentation
on Skin? Aging, pregnancy and birth control
pills are some of the most common causes of
pigmentation but there are others as well. If a
person is exposed to sunlight his or her skin
will get darker. This is because a pigment called
melanin gets produced by your body which protects
your skin from harmful UV rays. So if you have
increased exposure to sunlight then your body
will produce more melanin and thus will lead to
pigmentation on skin.

all produce similar discoloration on the skin
surface over time. All types of pigmentation
problems may cause dark spots on the body but
each type produces these spots in different ways
as well as causes different problems with light
sensitivity and pain associated with it as well
as requiring different treatment methods to
resolve them completely. There are many

them are effective such as Treating
