opinion. This opinion elaborates on the market
value of an asset. This broker price opinion is
usually included in the listing agreement while
selling a property. Real estate agents usually
grab BPO orders from loss mitigation firms,
mortgage companies, and lenders. These agents
also grab BPO orders from homeowners, who desire
to sell or refinance their homes. A broker price
opinion is time-saving and less expensive than an
appraisal.

There are two types of broker price opinions. The
first BPO is called internal BPO. For an internal
broker price opinion, the real estate agent
enters the building that is to be sold and spends
an ample amount of time inspecting and measuring
the insides of the building. The size and area of
each room are noted and the collected details go
into the broker price opinion. The agent also
takes pictures of the insides of the home.

The second type of broker price opinion is
external BPO. This kind of BPO is also called
drive-by BPO. In this case, the real estate agent
drives around the building that is put up for
sale and inspects just the exterior of it. An
external broker price opinion is desirable when
clients require the estimation of a building that
is presently occupied. This BPO is usually
common. But the accuracy of an external BPO is
less when compared to an internal BPO.
