characters created by Sharadindu Bandopadhyay is
Byomkesh. Referring to himself as Satyanweshi( in
search for truth) in the stories, Byomkesh is
known for his logical and analytical skills and
forensic science which he uses to solve
complicated criminal cases. This compilation has

runs a private detective agency and loves to
solve crossword puzzles.

Ekenbabu or Mr Eken is a Bengali detective
character created by author Sujan Dasgupta. The
first story was published in the Bengali magazine
Anandamela in 1991. He is a police detective who
looks like a typical Bengali man. His real name
is Ekendra Sen and has been portrayed as a bit
eccentric and comical person taking snuffs. He
likes to solve cases in his own style unlike, a
typical investigator.

Goyenda Gargi is a collection of Bengali
detective stories written by Tapan Bandopadhyay.
The author has written more than 30 stories in
his compilation which is available at our Online

Gargi Banerjee and is a student of Maths at the
