Purnima
Buddha Purnima is a religious and cultural
festival that is celebrated by Buddhists all over
the world. The festival commemorates the birth,
enlightenment, and death of the Buddha, and is
typically observed with prayers, offerings, and
special events. One of the most important aspects
of the festival is the worship of the brass
Buddha idol. This act of worship is significant
because it helps Buddhists to connect with the
Buddha and to receive his blessings. The act of
worship also serves as a reminder of the Buddha's
teachings and of the importance of following the
path of Dharma. By worshiping the Buddha on this
special day, Buddhists are able to reaffirm their
commitment to his teachings and to the path of
enlightenment. Buddha Purnima is a festival
celebrated by all the Indians. It is a day when
people visit their temples, pray to the God and
get their blessings. Buddha Purnima is also known
as Purnima (full moon), which falls on the full

located in Nepal. In his life, he spent almost 29
years on earth before he attained nirvana at the
age of 80 years old.

Buddha Purnima is a day of celebration in which
Buddhist people pay homage to their founder,
Buddha. The day falls on the full moon day of the
month of Vaisakh. The significance of this day
lies in its religious significance and importance
for Buddhists all over the world as it marks the
birth anniversary of Buddha. They also celebrate
Buddha idols for home
to pray for peace, prosperity and happiness among
human beings and also to seek forgiveness from
their ancestors who were kind enough to donate
their wealth or property during that period when
they were alive but could not receive any
blessings due to some reasons such as old age or
illness etc., hence they prayed for blessings
from their ancestors at this auspicious occasion
so that they could get good health, wealth and
prosperity after death.
