GURU PURNIMA CELEBRATIONS
On the occasion of Guru Purnima, IISM students
organized a grand event at the campus. The
entire team of IISM were called in for the
celebration and everyone were touched by this
gesture of the students. The students presented
our Founder Director, Mr. Nilesh Kulkarni
Co-founder Ms. Rasika Kulkarni with hand-made
portraits to commemorate their valuable
contribution in enriching the students lives.
The portraits were made by SYBSM student Ms.
Agnes Jeena. The e?orts taken by them on
organizing the events represent their management
and organization skills. The students added
several elements of entertainment to create a
sense of novelty for the faculty members. The
entire team is proud of the fact that students
organized everything right from the
conceptualization to the execution of the event.
Everyone was thrilled to witness the e?orts
taken by the students.

IISM'S GOT TALENT
On account of 'World Youth Skills Day,' the
students of IISM organized IISM's Got Talent, a
show where the students got a chance to showcase
their skills apart from their excellent skills in
sports. The event was completely conceptualised
and executed by the students. We had 19 students
performing various art forms like dancing,
singing, gymnastics, stand-up comedy, and last
but not the least shayari. The purpose of such
events is to encourage students to be the best
at cultural activities. IISM does not just plan
on grooming the students to excel in the ?eld of
sports, but to also excel in other domains as
well.

OUR STUDENT AT WORK
IISM congratulates TYBSM student Mr. Rahul Mutha
for getting appointed as 'Senior Executive -
Sales Operations' at Fanatic Sports. Fanatic
Sports is a global leader in Sports Ticketing,
Hospitality Experiential Travel. They have
offices in India, Singapore, Dubai and North
America. Mr. Mutha's job is to handle the
bookings for the forthcoming FIFA World Cup 2022
Qatar, while also managing some backend
work. IISM always believes that the students must
seize every opportunity to gain experience and
understanding of the real world of sports. These
opportunities and learnings will help them become
the ideal sporting professional required by the
industry. Wishing Mr. Mutha all the best for his
future projects, and hope he succeeds

Time after time, the love for sports gets lost
after 12th due to several reasons like lack of
opportunities to pursue an education in sports,
peer pressure to take up a conventional career,
etc. Because of this, students find it arduous to
choose sports as their profession. However, IISM
has always worked hard to break that stereotype
and give passionate sports lovers a chance to
pursue a formal education in sports. IISM
provides two undergraduate programs that a
sports lover can pursue after 12th and they are
Bachelor of Sports Management Bachelor of
Sports Science Any student with an aggregate of
50 for Open Category 45 for reserved category
in all the subjects can enrol in the Bachelor of
Sports Management degree program. However to
enrol in Bachelor of Sports Science degree
program the student must have scored a minimum of
50 Passed with Physics, Chemistry, Biology of
any State Board/ CBSE/ or other equivalent
board. If you have the desire and passion to work
in the sorts industry the field welcomes you with

STUDENT GOVERNING BODY
Congratulations to the Newly Elected President,
Mr. Krishnakant Pawar, Vice President Mr. Aashay
Thakur, and Secretary Mr. Nitish Devadiga of the
'Sports Cell.' Sports cell is established with an
aim to ensure the students remain physically
mentally fit, enhance the sportsman-spirit and
apply the principles of management by actively
participating in sports. These newly elected
members are the torch-bearers of IISM. Everyone
are extremely proud of them and we are sure they
will fulfil the responsibilities that they have
undertaken with perfection.
Happy to announce the Newly Elected President,
Mr. Ishaan Ranadive, Vice President Ms. Asmi
Patel, and Secretary Ms. Agnes Jeena of the
'Student Life Cell.' The members of the
Student L i fe Cell will conceptualize,
coordinate, and manage the events conducted at
the institute. These activities will assist them
in learning crucial skills like leadership,
managerial skills, time management, team building
skills and prepare them to take better
decisions. They will be the point of connection
between the students and the management. Wishing
the newly elected members all the best and may
they work on ways to make theirs and others life
at IISM memorable.

Pleased to announce that, Mr. Atharva Loya, is
the president, Mr. Sagar Shah, is the vice
president and Mr. Prateek Jha is the newly
elected secretary of the 'Entrepreneurship
Cell.' The idea behind establishing an
Entrepreneurship C e l l w a s t o i d e n
ti f y a n d n u r t u r e t a l e n t
entrepreneurial sport by giving them
opportunities to excel and build financial
security. This will in time give them a chance
to enhance the value of the self, community and
the nation. These newly elected members are the
ray of shine for the students of IISM who will
help them get grant money to start their work on
the initiative proposed by the student. We are
sure they will fulfil the responsibilities that
they have undertaken with perfection.
Here are IISM's newly elected President, Ms.
Anwesha Chandra, Vice President Ms. Adhira
Albert, and Secretary Ms. Neeya Sachdev of the
'Corporate Student Relations Committee'
(CSRC). The purpose of a CSRC cell is to have one
representative from each class who will work
simultaneously with the IISMs Corporate
Relations team. They will help the students
develop excellent soft skills and be the helping
hand for managing corporate events of IISM. We
wish them all the best and hope they
learn valuable lessons from our CR team that will
mould them into becoming the best sports
management professionals they aspire to become.

Meet the newly elected President, Mr. Hrishi
Sinkar, Vice President Mr. Noel Chikodi, and
Secretary Ms. Asmi Gundrekar of the 'Institute
Social Responsibility Cell.' The intent of
founding a Institute Social Responsibility Cell
is to take on the challenges of creating socially
responsible global citizens. The cell will act
as a platform that will help the students bring
about the much-needed positive impact on
society. We are looking forward to these members
implementing the change that will help our
students create their own identity, and make IISM
proud in all their future workplaces.
Best wishes to the newly elected President, Mr.
Jayendra Kenekar, Vice President Ms. Khushi
Raghuvanshi, and Secretary Mr. Sabareenath
Namboodiri of the 'Research Cell.' The intent of
Research Cell is to enhance the research skills
of the students by giving them opportunities to
publish research papers in leading journals. The
cell will also conduct writing workshops to
sharpen students' writing skills and encourage
students to take up research projects at local,
national international levels. Best wishes to
all the Research Cell members and may they work
hard to publish more sports- related research
papers and reports as there is a scarcity of
sports-related data.

GUEST SESSION
Milind Wagle Senior Sports Broadcaster IISM
students had the privilege to hear some
incredible behind the scenes stories of the
commentary world by the legend himself Mr.
Milind Wagle. Mr. Wagle did live commentary on
the sports matches on Doordarshan since the 70's
and also did commentary of various sporting
events. Mr. Wagle took students through his
experience in the world of cricket and how the
world of commentary has changed over time. He
also shared with the students one crucial advice
to never stop exploring the verticals in the
sports industry. He shared some anecdotes about
his commentary career, how his experience in
commentary in cricket helped him grow his network
and gave him numerous opportunities to do
commentary with his role models. The session was
much-needed for the students as they got to
learn important life lessons from the experts
themselves about the changing landscape of the
sports industry.
Ridhima Pathak Sports Presenter, Live
Broadcaster, Anchor, Public Speaker Ms. Ridhima
Pathak is a famous model, actress, voice artist,
TV presenter and an anchor and Ms. Pathak
visited the campus to tell our students the
responsibilities of being a sports TV
anchor. She is well-known for presenting
numerous sporting events at Star Sports Ten
Sports, and has met prominent sports players and
athletes over the years. During the session she
explained the responsibilities of being an anchor
and how to behave professionally while taking
the interviews and how to always maintain the
cool even if she is interviewing her role model
or idol.
