covers 342,239 sq. km. It is Indias largest
state by area and the seventh largest state by
population. Rajasthan exactly means "The Land of

  • Umaid Bhawan Palace Umaid Bhawan Palace is the
    largest Royal Palace located in Jodhpur,
    Rajasthan. It is also one of the largest private
    residences in the world. A part of the Umaid
    Bhawan Palace is managed by Taj Hotels. Umaid
    Bhawan Palace is named after Maharaja Umaid
    Singh. The palace has 347 rooms. The Palace is
    divided into three parts the luxury residence
    of the royal family, a luxury Taj Palace Hotel,
    and a museum showcasing the 20th-century history
    of the Jodhpur Royal Family.
  • Lake Palace Lake Palace is a past summer palace
    of the royal family of Mewar, and now it is

    foundation cover 4 acres of land. The Lake Palace
    was constructed between 1743 and 1746 under the

    firstly called as Jagniwas or Jan Niwas.

  • Hawa Mahal Hawa Mahal is also known as the
    "Palace of Wind" or "Palace of Breeze. The Hawa
    Mahal is a palace in the city of Jaipur, built
    from red and pink brickwork, it is on the edge of
    the City Palace, and ranges to the Zenana, or
    women's chambers. The structure of Hawa Mahal was
    built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh,
    grandson of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh who is the
    founder of the city of Jaipur. It was designed by
    Lal Chand Ustad. Its a five-floor palace with
    953 small windows called Jharokhas decorated with
    complicated latticework. The main reason for the
    lattice design was to allow royal ladies to see
    everyday life and festivals celebrated because
    they had to follow the strict rules of "purdah",
    which prohibited them to appear in public without
    face coverings. This architectural feature also
    for cool air makes the whole area more enjoyable
    during the high temperatures in summer. Many
    people see the Hawa Mahal from the street view
    and think it is the front of the palace, but it
    is the back.
  • Rambagh Palace The Rambagh Palace located in
    Jaipur, Rajasthan is the past house of the
    Maharaja of Jaipur located 5 miles outside the
    walls of the city of Jaipur on Bhawani Singh
    Road. In the early 20th century, it was extended
    into a palace to the designs of Sir Samuel
    Swinton Jacob. It is now worked as a five-star
    hotel by the Taj Hotels Group.
