The U.A.E. is an arid land with minimal water and
just two water sources desalinated seawater and
groundwater. Groundwater levels are insufficient,
with only about 1 of the country's needs being

contains a few natural springs from which its
population derives their drinking water.
Moreover, Dubai's desalination plants currently
provide nearly all of the city's potable drinking
