  • Local anesthetics are medicines that reduce pain
and tenderness in the area around the injection
or application without affecting other parts of
the body. These forms of anesthetics are usually
given through needle injection or non-toxic
topical gel and are often used to prevent
patients from feeling pain during surgery. Local
anesthetics are used before an operation begins
and, unlike general anesthetics, do not cause
    unconsciousness (on-being) during a procedure.

  • Procaine is one of the most used local
anesthetics and is better known by its trade name
Novocaine. There are also other local anesthetics
to numb the pain of surgical procedures like
    dental work, including Practice preparing
Lidocaine and Catheter. These two drugs share
several similarities, including methods of use,
effectiveness, and even some side effects. For
example, Catheter and lidocaine are given as
needle injections and topical gels and are
alternately used effectively to relieve or reduce
    pain in many medical procedures.
