WHAT IS THE IMMIGRATION LEVELS PLAN FOR CANADA,
AND WHY SHOULD YOU CARE?

The Canadian government will soon reveal its
annual immigration levels plan. Included in it
is a breakdown of the various immigration
categories that Canada anticipates would be
accepted during the following three years,
including family, humanitarian, and economic
immigrants.

This announcement must be made by the government
by November 1st of every year. The predictions
for 2023, 2024, and 2025 will be made public
this year. The second strategy to be revealed
this year is this one. After the federal
elections in September 2021, the first is
scheduled to be revealed in February.

Canada has set a target of bringing in 431,645
new permanent residents under the Immigration
Levels Plan for 20222024. Up to 2024, a total
of 451,000 new permanent residents are the
goal. A record number of permanent residents
have entered Canada. Canada has already accepted
more than 300,000 new permanent residents this
year. For the entire year, they want to bring in
431,645 new permanent residents.

Immigration Minister Sean Fraser said that goals
might rise to 500,000 new permanent residents
annually in a June interview with CIC News. He
did not say when, though. He said, " Look, I
wouldn't put it on the clock." "I believe we
will succeed. Through the current track, our
population is increasing by more than 1. That
course will stay the same. I am unsure of the
precise year in which we will surpass the 500,000
immigration mark annually. According to him, it
will be based on community needs.

According to the most recent data, there were 2.6
million persons waiting for their i mmigration
applications to be processed in Canada, which
has been grappling with a mounting backlog. 5,13,
923 of them (or of them) were for permanent
residence.
