2Introduction
3One of the numerous issues we have in this nation
is the abundance of trash on the streets. which,
when the rainy season arrives, our waterways end
up clogging, causing flooding. The most frequent
causes of flooding are obstructions caused by
debris in rivers, estuaries, canals, creeks, and
other waterways.
4- Filipinos occasionally lose their self-control,
and we might throw something on the side of the
road, even if it's just a piece of plastic candy.
This is the main cause of our clogged drains.
When unruly individuals' waste builds up, for
example in drainage, it will cause a blockage,
which will prevent the water from flowing through
the drains as it should.
IF YOU LITTER, THE FUTURE WILL BE BITTER.
5We experience a lot of problems as a result of
the negative things we do in our environment.
When it rains a lot, there is frequently
considerable flooding, and oftentimes the rivers
overflow in various locations because the canals
are obstructed and the water cannot flow as it
should. due to the water's incorrect flow, in
other regions.
6The second issue is the excessive traffic,
particularly after a rainstorm when the water
makes it impossible for cars to proceed, they
risk being stuck in the middle of the road.
Lastly, because of the trash we toss away, there
are still blocked drains.

8Drainage consists of a system of pipes and
channels that transports runoff away from
residential areas. Impervious surfaces, like
roads and sidewalks, cause excess water to
accumulate. Stormwater drainage systems help
solve this problem by collecting the water and
sending it downhill to prevent it from causing
flooding. Above-ground pipes and ditches form a
network that leads water into drains, grates,
catch basins, and manholes, then through
underground pipes to nearby bodies of water. Our
aging drainage systems cannot withstand the
increased rainfall and stronger floods of today.
Updating and expanding drainage systems across
the country is one of the solutions to protect
residents and decrease the cost of flooding.
9CONCLUSION
Dirty and polluted drainage is not just a
one-country problem but a global issue. Dirty
drainage arises from multiple sources especially
clogged drains due to improper waste disposal
thus leading to floods yes it can also be the
cause of many diseases like cholera,
leptospirosis, salmonellosis, and many more. It
is the consequence of reckless, short-sighted,
unstainable, and disrespectful waste disposal.
Since not all drains are man-made, there is some
drainage that connects to the ocean thus
endangering marine life and its ecosystems
especially if the water that flows through that
drain is contaminated, dirty, and polluted.
Leading to a huge body of water giving chances to
different deadly bacteria to contaminate more
water and spread diseases throughout the ocean,
thus infecting and killing thousands even
millions of people. Infecting even our crops,
air, and animals and it gets much worse each day.
Contaminated and polluted water will slowly,
distraughtly, and painfully kill each and every
single living thing here on Earth if this
disastrous issue is not immediately given a
worldwide efficient and effective solution.
